Laurel Livezey

Head Sommelier & Wine Program Manager

A native of Northern California, Laurel began her hospitality career as a barista for an espresso bar in her hometown of Mendocino, California. As she pursued her studies at Southern Oregon University, she spent her summers working for Mukilteo Coffee Roasters on Whidbey Island while she performed for the Island Shakespeare Festival. With a desire to be closer to Broadway, Laurel made the move to New York City and joined Union Square Hospitality Group to support the opening of Caffé Marchio, a Roman-style espresso bar, before moving on to open its sister establishment, Vini e Fritti, at the former Redbury Hotel. At Vini e Fritti, Laurel began bartending and soon caught the wine bug, transitioning from coffee to wine and beverage. She jumped into studies with the Wine and Spirit Education Trust, achieving Level 3 Award in Wine with Distinction and began training with the wine team at Danny Meyer’s flagship, Union Square Café.

Laurel departed New York to be closer to home and began working for Husch Vineyards & Winery in Anderson Valley, California, supporting the family-owned vineyard’s sales and marketing efforts. At Husch Vineyards, Laurel also gained firsthand experience in the wine cellar while serving as the tasting room’s resident sommelier.

Laurel oversees the wine team and manages Little Saint’s extensive wine list and seasonal wine and beverage pairings.
