Born and raised in Morrison, Colorado, near Red Rocks Amphitheater, Jobi Riccio grew up inspired by artists like Sheryl Crow and Joni Mitchell. Her music blends traditional songwriting with modern indie production, creating a sound that’s both timeless and experimental.
Jobi has earned significant recognition, winning the 2019 NewSong Music Competition and the 2023 Newport Folk Festival John Prine Fellowship. She was also named a 2024 Luck Reunion Artist On The Rise and nominated for the Americana Honors & Awards' Emerging Artist of the Year.
Her debut album, Whiplash (Yep Roc), has been praised by The New York Times, Billboard, and NPR. Stereogum’s Marissa R. Moss called it the top country album of 2023, showcasing Jobi’s diverse influences across country, folk, and Americana.
