A native of Dayton, Ohio, Luke Schneider is a pedal steel guitarist based in Nashville. A versatile player melding traditional styles with unconventional effects, he forged a career touring and recording with Americana and Outlaw Country artists such as Margo Price, Orville Peck, SG Goodman, Peter One, and Lilly Hiatt. Just at home in Nashville’s DIY/experimental/indie scene as he is in the mainstream, Luke began recording ambient compositions created entirely by pedal steel, and released a well-received debut record under his own name with Third Man Records in 2020. Since then he has become a key artist in the New Age and Cosmic Pastoral landscape. Most recently, Luke has toured and recorded with his longtime friend and collaborator William Tyler, and has forthcoming music slated for release in 2025 via Los Angeles’ acclaimed Leaving Records.
