John Elliott is a human, the common term used to refer to a member of the Homo sapiens species. He does many things, among them writing songs and performing them. He has been releasing albums and performing in every type of venue you can imagine since 2000, touring in 49 of the 50 states and across Europe. He went viral once and doesn’t necessarily recommend it. He loves YouTube and the literary magazine “The Sun.” He believes most urban car trips can be replaced by walking, transit, or riding a bike. He lives in San Francisco with his partner and their son. His band, The Band of Supervisors, is a group of musicians from the Bay Area and beyond, representing multiple California counties and jurisdictions. It is an evolving Americana-Rock-Folk-Joy-Jam band that plays original music from John's many albums of almost hits and near misses.
